White and Silver Wedding Cake

This Mini 3 Tier Wedding Cake travelled all the way to Ottawa for a winter wedding. It’s perfect for a smaller guest list while still maintaining that big wedding cake look. Each tier of this cake borrows from 3 separate cake designs. The different designs are tied together by the use of pearls accents on each tier, in the brooch and around the base of each tier. The entire cake is covered in off-white fondant with the accents ‘pearlized’ (dusted with pearl dust) and the bride’s silver wedding dress inspired the use of silver ribbon. The extra-large cake board and gathered fabric look of the fondant on the board creates more presence for this mini wedding cake.

The top tier of this cake features 3D sugar-flowers and leaves with vines piped on and accented with pearls. It was inspired by a cookie design that the couple found in a wedding cake magazine. On the top of this tier the initials of the bride and groom were piped on. The middle tier was done in a classic quilted pattern and the base tier was done in an equally classic Damask pattern.

Middle Tier – 6 inch round Banana Chocolate Chip Cake with Light Chocolate Buttercream

Base Tier – 8 inch round Chocolate Cake with Semi-sweet Chocolate Buttercream and a middle layer of Snickers (chocolate bar) Chunks

This White and Silver Mini 3 Tier Wedding Cake provided 36-38 servings making it a great size for bridal showers and anniversaries as well.

Black and White Rose Wedding Cake

The couple who ordered this Black and White Rose Wedding Cake wanted a design that was clean and elegant with a modern twist that matched their wedding colours (black, white and blue). Their wedding reception was held at the McLean House at the Estates of Sunnybrook in Toronto.

Top Tier – 6 inch round Hazelnut Cake with Dulche De Leche Buttercream

Middle Tier – 8 inch round Chocolate Cake with Kahlua Buttercream

Base Tier – 10 inch round White Chocolate Cake with Raspberry Buttercream

This 3 Tier Black and White Rose Wedding Cake provided 72 servings.

and Happy Fourth of July!

National pride was the theme of this wedding for a Canadian bride and her American groom. Both the Canadian and US flags are tear-away cupcake cakes and the 3 tier centerpiece is a heart-shaped Canada Wedding Cake that was accented with patriotic red and white maple leaf ribbon. This wedding reception was held at the Port Whitby Marina which has a beautiful view of Whitby Harbour.

The pull-apart Canadian Flag Cupcake Cake was made from 24 Lemon Cupcakes with a Strawberry Buttercream center. The US Flag Cupcake Cake was made from 24 Chocolate Cupcakes with a Caramel Buttercream center. Both cupcake cakes are topped with coloured Vanilla Buttercream.
