White and Silver Wedding Cake

This Mini 3 Tier Wedding Cake travelled all the way to Ottawa for a winter wedding. It’s perfect for a smaller guest list while still maintaining that big wedding cake look. Each tier of this cake borrows from 3 separate cake designs. The different designs are tied together by the use of pearls accents on each tier, in the brooch and around the base of each tier. The entire cake is covered in off-white fondant with the accents ‘pearlized’ (dusted with pearl dust) and the bride’s silver wedding dress inspired the use of silver ribbon. The extra-large cake board and gathered fabric look of the fondant on the board creates more presence for this mini wedding cake.

The top tier of this cake features 3D sugar-flowers and leaves with vines piped on and accented with pearls. It was inspired by a cookie design that the couple found in a wedding cake magazine. On the top of this tier the initials of the bride and groom were piped on. The middle tier was done in a classic quilted pattern and the base tier was done in an equally classic Damask pattern.

Middle Tier – 6 inch round Banana Chocolate Chip Cake with Light Chocolate Buttercream

Base Tier – 8 inch round Chocolate Cake with Semi-sweet Chocolate Buttercream and a middle layer of Snickers (chocolate bar) Chunks

This White and Silver Mini 3 Tier Wedding Cake provided 36-38 servings making it a great size for bridal showers and anniversaries as well.

Black and White Rose Wedding Cake

The couple who ordered this Black and White Rose Wedding Cake wanted a design that was clean and elegant with a modern twist that matched their wedding colours (black, white and blue). Their wedding reception was held at the McLean House at the Estates of Sunnybrook in Toronto.

Top Tier – 6 inch round Hazelnut Cake with Dulche De Leche Buttercream

Middle Tier – 8 inch round Chocolate Cake with Kahlua Buttercream

Base Tier – 10 inch round White Chocolate Cake with Raspberry Buttercream

This 3 Tier Black and White Rose Wedding Cake provided 72 servings.

Ivory Rose Wedding Cake

For her outdoor summer wedding by the shores of Lake Ontario in Whitby, this bride wanted an elegant cake design with lots of ivory roses to match her wedding colours and flowers. This Ivory Rose Wedding Cake was covered with ivory fondant and had a quilted design on the top and bottom tiers. The design on the middle tier was piped with royal icing and painted with liquid pearl. The darker ivory piping on the base of the top and bottom tier and the row of roses on the middle tier were done in buttercream. Ivory sugar roses on top and our round silver cake stand completed the look.

All 3 Tiers (6, 8 and 10 inch round cake combination) were Vanilla Bean Cake with Vanilla Buttercream and provided 72 servings.

Calla Lily Wedding Cake

Fondant drapes are a beautiful, traditional design for wedding cakes that are made to look like folds and swags of fabric draped over or around the cake. For a modern touch, the white fondant drapes on this Calla Lily Wedding Cake were accented with clusters of dark purple sugar calla lilies. Sugar pearls on each tier finish the classic look.  The wedding reception was held at The Fairmont Royal York Hotel in downtown Toronto.

Middle and Base Tiers – 8, 10, and 12 inch round Styrofoam dummies.

Fall Wedding Cake

Inspired by a design by Collette Foley from InStyle Wedding Magazine, this fall wedding cake was covered in a dusky ivory fondant and accented with ferns, oak leaves, acorns, berries and flowers all made out of sugar. The reception was held at the beautiful Royal Ashburn Golf Club in Ashburn/Whitby. The flavours of this 3 tier wedding cake were banana chocolate chip cake filled with chocolate ganache, vanilla bean cake layered with fresh strawberries and vanilla buttercream and mocha cake with caramel filling.

Shower Cake for a Baby Girl!

The green baby stroller on this cake is a chocolate replica of the design on the baby shower invitations. Pink and white sugar flowers with sugar pearls and purple fondant stars were added to the top and around the sides of the chocolate cake which was filled with fresh whole raspberries and vanilla buttercream.

Daisy Wedding Cake

This daisy wedding cake was inspired by Martha Stewart Wedding’s Sweet Little Daisies Wedding Cake. Lots of white daisies made out of sugar cascade over the top and sides of this vanilla fondant covered wedding cake. The flavour for all tiers was vanilla butter cake filled with layers of fresh strawberries and vanilla bean buttercream.
