Frequently Asked About Cupcakes

  • Fondant and buttercream are different both in taste and texture.  Fondant is a sweet sugar dough which holds it's shape well and allows for more intricate design.  It also withstands a wider range of temperatures.  Buttercream is rich and luxurious, and can be flavoured with an endless variety of options.  It is soft and works better for piping based designs.  It does not hold up as well to different temperatures as fondant.
